Berzerk (Answer)

- Concept: Berzerk © 1980 Stern Electronics, Inc.
- Designed and Programmed by Alan McNeil
- Artist: Dana, aka Dad
I can't believe it took me until book number seven to make a maze for this original shooter maze game released in 1980 from Stern Electronics. I played the surprisingly-faithful Atari 2600 port extensively.
This maze was originally kind of a cheat and a trick. The maze was essentially unsolvable and the Start and Finish boxes had gaps at their back ends; the implication being that you were to "think outside the box" and bypass the maze entirely. Despite the novelty of the puzzle, I decided it was a cheap shot so I decided to "fix it in post" and convert this into a regular, solvable maze. You're welcome!
